Studio PAD is a Landscape Architectural design firm founded by Peter A Duarte, in 2012, with a simple initiative – be creative and design smart, environmentally sustainable spaces benefiting humanity and environment, with meaningful, long-lasting identities.

Every design project, small and large, local and abroad, simple and complex goes through the same design process to establish a strong STORY instilling distinctive quality with smart designed solutions.  The meaning of ‘smart’ design is that every project is evaluated for its intended use and function while being designed within project budgets, parameters and constraints.  Thus, in turn, creating built environments, that function as intended, and provide people with an enhanced environment for time to come.  In current times, SMART designs also encompasses being ‘Green’ and ‘Water-wise’ with every project, taking into consideration the natural environment and local resources to reduce, conserve and recycle as much as feasibly possible.

Peter A Duarte is the founder and president of studio PAD, Inc. Mr. Duarte directs the conceptual, schematic and final design process at the firm. Mr. Duarte ensures that the firm’s direction stays focused on a team-oriented, collaborative, and high quality service approach to design, management and implementation through all phases of each project.

With over 20 years of experience in Landscape Architecture as a Professional Landscape Architect, Mr. Duarte takes a thoughtful approach to design and brings extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of hotel/resort, urban streetscape design, high-density residential, on-podium structures, mixed-use residential, and master planning projects throughout the U.S., Canada and abroad.

Mr. Duarte earned his Master of Landscape Architecture degree and his Bachelor of Science degree (Horticultural Science & Business Major) from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
